Is a gap year right for you?

Taking a gap year is not necessarily right for everyone. It's a decision to be made having consulted widely with friends, family and advisers. This section of the website provides information to help young people between the ages of 16-25 make their decision.

Don't forget that there are considerable advantages to taking a gap year before HE, but still only 7% approximately defer their UCAS place. Many also apply to HE after their results, having taken a gap year.
